Another Skirt

Introducing...

our new piglets!
Their names are Churchill and Knightley. My love for Jane Austen's Emma did not have anything to do with these names. ;) (OK, so maybe it does a little bit)
I can't get too attached to them though, as they'll be ready to join us for dinner around September.

Little Things

I come in the little things,
Saith the Lord:
Yea, on the glancing wing
Of eager birds, the softly pattering feet
Of furred and gentle beasts.
I come in the little things,
Saith the Lord:
Not borne on the morning's wings
Of majesty, but I have set My feet
Admidst the delicate and bladed wheat.

I come in the little things,
Saith the Lord. Amen.

A Few Lovely Words...

"I enjoy doing housework, ironing, washing, cooking, dish washing. Whenever I get one of those questionnaires and they ask what is your profession, I always put down housewife. It's an admirable profession, why apologize for it. You aren't stupid because you're a housewife. When you're stirring the jam you can read Shakespeare."
By Tasha Tudor and Richard Brown
"There are few moments in life more enjoyable than the hour set aside for the ceremony known as afternoon tea."
The Portrait of a Lady
By Henry James

Adding To My Feminine Wardrobe

On Saturday, my Mom and I went shopping for a skirt pattern and some fabric in an attempt to dress more femininely.

Sewing away.

Ashlyn got a skirt out of the scraps.

The finished products, at present, are in the washer. I'll take pictures later ;)
This week is the Feelin' Feminine week in skirts challenge. Head over to Feminine Farmgirl for more details.
